BASE is a national business competition aimed at sixth form students designed to develop employability skills and introduce chartered accountancy as a desirable career path in business.

What is BASE?
BASE is an interactive day that will enhance students’ understanding of careers in business and accounting, while developing employability skills such as team work, communication, problem solving and presentation skills.
Students’ financial capability will also be developed through participation in a Business Case study where they assume the role of an ACA.

How to enter
Enter a team of six, year 12 and 13 to win some great prizes and the chance to compete to be our BASE champions 2011.
Each team will require a teacher to attend with them.

BASE 2010 winners
BASE 2010 culminated in a challenging yet exciting National Final on 1 July.
23 teams who won their regional heats came together at Aston University to compete to become our national winners. ICAEW were also joined by our sponsors BPP, Kaplan, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Resources Global, Deloitte and Horwath Clark Whitehill, along with an impressive turnout of mentors and judges.
Students further enjoyed a three course celebratory dinner, entertainment by ‘close up magic champion Steve Dela’, awards and a disco.
