Book your CFAB exams (e-assessment)

At the end of each CFAB module you will sit an assessment, not an exam. The assessments will be done electronically (e-assessment). To take one of these assessments you will need to attend an ICAEW approved test centre.

Applying for an e-assessment

E-assessments can be scheduled at a time suitable to you and your employer, subject to availability at the approved test centre. Assessments are taken at approved test centres or through the Pearson Vue network.

Booking your e-assessment with Pearson

If you are booking through the Pearson website you will need to sign in. Your Pearson Username and Password are both ‘ICAEW’ followed by your student number (e.g. ICAEW1234567).

You will then be prompted to change your password for security, but your username will remain the same.

Cost of e-assessment modules

Each e-assessment module costs £60 (including local taxes).

E-assessment process

The e-assessment process is efficient and effective. You simply input your answers into the computer and the next day you will be able to access your results on the ICAEW website.

Each assessment lasts for one and a half hours.

Results

Results are available from the ICAEW website the day after you take the assessment. Results are only available from the website.

On your results page you will be able to forward an electronic copy of any result to your employer.

Once you’ve passed all the assessments you will be sent a certificate.
