Credit for prior learning

Credit for prior learning or CPL is our term for exemptions. If you have an accounting or business related degree or a professional accountancy qualification you may apply for credit/exemption against an ICAEW exam module.

Depending on what you’ve studied and the qualification(s) you have, there are up to 12 credits available at the Professional Stage of the ACA.

Credits cost £60 per knowledge module and £80 per application module (from 01 January 2011 these will rise to £65 per knowledge module and £85 per application module). Some professional qualifications have a different cost structure. You should allow 14 days from receipt for processing of your application.
